Organisation of special need-based courses has been an important activity at Andhra Loyola College. The college is committed to promoting job opportunities for educated youth of the local community. These courses will also enable the college students to get additional qualifications in the field of their choice even as they complete their degree course. As an autonomous college, the college is privileged to offer diploma (undergraduate & postgraduate) or certificate courses. The following are the Diploma Courses the college offers:

  1. Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications(PGDCA)
    Eligibility: Degree
    Duration: 6 Months - 5 days a week


    Course Content
    C, OOPS and C++ and Visual C++, Oracle (8I) with D2K, Visual Basic 6.0, System Analysis & Design, Application Oriented Project.

  2. Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) - Fast Track
    Eligibility: Degree
    Duration: 6 months - Only on Saturdays and Sundays


    Course Content
    C, OOPS and C++ and Visual C++, Oracle 8I with D2K, Visual Basic6.0, System Analysis and Design, Application Oriented Project

  3. Diploma in Computer Hardware
    Eligibility: Degree
    Duration: 2 months -5 days a week


    Course Content
    PC Hardware, peripherals, LAN and Communication, Diagnostics and trouble shooting, assembling computers, installation of multimedia, Windows 98, various drivers & application software.

  4. Diploma in Multimedia
    Eligibility: Degree
    Duration: 2 months - 5 days a week


    Course Content
    Drawing Concepts and Photo Editing through CorelDraw and PhotoShop, Animation using 2D, 3D Studio Max, Authoring tool and Sound Editing (Macromedia Director and Sound Forge XP)

  5. Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT)
    Eligibility: Inter Pass
    Duration: 10 months - 5 days a week


    Course Content
    Clinical Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry, Clinical Microbiology

  6. Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA)
    Eligibility: Intermediate
    Duration : 2 months - 5 days a week

    The Diploma in Computer Applications aims at helping the undergraduate students who do not pursue a degree program in computer science to have a wider knowledge of computer and its applications.

    Course Contents
    Fundamentals, Programming Logic & Techniques, MS-DOS, MS Windows, MS-Office (Word, Excel, Access, Binder, PowerPoint), Internet and HTML

  7. Diploma in Computerised Financial Accounting (DCFA)
    Eligibility: Intermediate
    Duration: 6 months - 5 days a week

    Fundamentals, Windows 95 & Internet, Tally 5.4, Inventory Control

  8. Diploma in Java Programming & WEB Technology(DJP)
    Eligibility: Intermediate
    Duration: 10 months - 5 days a week


    Course Content
    OOPS concepts & C++ Programming, Internet Concepts, Web Page Creation using HTML & DHTML, JAVA and JDBC

  9. Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA) - Fast Track
    Eligibility: Intermediate
    Duration: 2 months- Only on Saturdays and Sundays


    Course Content
    Fundamentals, Programming Logic & Techniques, Ms-DOS, MS Windows, MS-Office (Word, Excel, Access, Binder, Powerpoint), Internet and HTML

  10. Diploma in Spoken English
    Eligibility: Intermediate
    Duration: 6 months - 5 days a week


    Course Content
    Imparting and seeking factual information, expressing and finding out attitudes, deciding on courses of action, socializing, structuring discourse, communication repair; participating in discussions/debates/interviews; use of stress, intonation, etc., for clarity of communication; focus on oral communication with practice in listening, reading and writing to the extent necessary/ possible.

  11. Diploma in Photography (DIP)
    Eligibility: S.S.C.
    Duration: 2 months- Only on Saturdays and Sundays


    Course Content
    Components of Cameras, Lenses, Films and their uses, Exposure to different films (Colour, Black & White) Filters, Film Processing and Printing
